TERENCE DAW 

Director-Writer-Producer

Terence studied acting and theatre, and began his TV career in the film cutting rooms, learning the craft of editing before becoming a Promo Producer at ITV - writing and creating on-air trailers. His early days as a Freelance Director covered a broad range of assignments, including live network shows, multi-cam studio, music & arts, children’s series and film documentaries (one of which, Mighty Hunter, was nominated for an RTS award). 

After moving into his main area of interest - drama - Terence went on to direct numerous episodes of UK drama series & serials, including THE BILL, BROOKSIDE, HEARTBEAT, EMMERDALE, & THIEFTAKERS. He also directed the feature-length special EMMERDALE REVENGE, distributed internationally by Granada Media. 

He wrote and directed his first feature film, SURVIVING EVIL, starring Billy Zane - shooting the movie on location in Durban, South Africa. 

Terence is also active as a screenwriter, working across both film and television. He has also written narrative corporate and promotional videos for major clients, and recently completed his first novel  FACE THE DARK SIDEWALK, a haunting crime thriller set in an East Coast US city. The book is available worldwide in paperback or kindle at Amazon Books, Barnes & Noble and other outlets. Terence has just completed a six-part TV adaptation the novel, now set in the UK. 

Currently he is in development on a diverse slate of projects (drama series and feature films) as writer-director and producer through Audience Films. 

Aside from originating and developing his own projects, Terence continues his role in the industry as a Freelance Film and TV Drama Director. He is a member of Directors UK.
